The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention intends to award a sole source firm fixed price purchase order to 3M Company, St. Paul, MN, for the respiratory system Versaflo PAPR. The following items are to be acquired and 3M is believed to be the sole source for the items listed: (1) Part 7100098537 – TR-614-HK Versaflo PAPR kit, 1/cs; (2) Part 7100021253 – TR-6510N, OV/HE, 5/case; (3) Part 7100035835 – TR-630/37347 AAD Standard Battery 1/cs; (4) Part 7100009685 – BT-30 VRSFLO LNGTH ADJST BRTHNG TB 1/BAG. This contract action is for supplies for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b) (SAP) and 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1). Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations. Any interested companies are welcome to submit their ability to provide the specified products, all or none, within five (5) business days of the issuance of this notice. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
