The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention intends to award a sole source firm fixed price purchase order to Applied BioPhysics, Troy, NY, for laboratory equipment and supplies: (1) ECIS-TEER24 – 24 Well Array Station w/24-well dipping pin assembly (1 each); (2) ECIS-SC2 – Multi-Station Controller Package including 2-channel station controller, Dell Laptop w/Windows 10 Pro (i5-8250U Core, 8GB Memory, 500GB Hard Drive), TEER Software for data collection & analysis (1 each); (3) TEER24 PET – 24 well TEER arrays, 1 box of 4 arrays (1 each). No other products have been found to meet the performance of those listed. The vendor is believed to be the only provider of the items cited with functionality that meets the agency’s requirements. This contract action is for equipment and supplies for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b) (SAP) and 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1). Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations. Any interested companies are welcome to submit their ability to provide the specified products by Friday, August 14, 2020. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
