The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention intends to award a sole source firm fixed price purchase order to Rohde and Schwarz for RTO2024 4 channel 2 GHz digital oscilloscope with 4 probes and RTO-B6 Arbitrary Waveform/Pattern Generator. This digital oscilloscope (scope) will be used to evaluate, test, and troubleshoot highly complex circuits designed for use in instruments whose application is to improve mine worker safety and health. This scope possesses a minimum bandwidth of 2 GHz which allows the measurement of extremely fast transient responses. It also has Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) capability to evaluate signals in the frequency domain. FFTs are the only practical way to view or measure illicit spurious responses or emissions in circuits. The unique feature of the R&S RTO2024 is the RTO - B6, the integrated functionality of a waveform and pattern generator. This integrated waveform generator allows the scope to function as a basic scaler network analyzer thus evaluating circuit transfer functions such as circuit loss or gain, magnitude or gain. This contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b) (SAP) and 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1). Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, all quotations/responses received within 4 business days of the issuance of this notice will be considered by the government. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
