The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) intends to issue a sole source purchase order to University of Georgia Research Foundation, Inc., 310 East Campus Rd Tucker Hall Room 409, Athens, GA 30602. The purpose of this acquisition is to provide sources and prevalence of Cyclospora cayetanenis in Southeastern US irrigation water sources and growing enviroment services, from University of Georgia Research Foundation, Inc.: This research project is to assess Cylospora cayetanensis prevalence in irrigation water, harvested produced (via spent packing house water as a proxy), on-farm portable tolets, and municipal wastewater influents in the Southeastern Coastal Plain. In accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1 – Only one responsible source and no other supplies will satisfy agency requirements. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this requirement is 541715 Research and Development in the Physical, Engineering, and Life Sciences (except Nanotechnology and Biotechnology). This is a notice of intent and not a request for competitive quotations. No solicitation will be posted on the Federal Business Opportunity website. However, all interested parties who believe they can meet the requirement may submit their capability/qualifications and other supporting information to Priscilla Turner at PBTurner@cdc.gov on or before August 19, 2020 at 9:00 AM Eastern Time. All information received on or before Wednesday, August 18, 2020 at 9:00 AM Eastern Time of this notice will be considered by the Government to determine if the more than one firm can meet the Government's requirements and is capable of providing technically acceptable services. A determination not to compete the described requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Federal Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement.
