Administration for Strategic Preparedness and Response (ASPR) provides emergency medical care to the victims of public health emergencies and catastrophic events that overwhelm the capacity of state and local emergency medical systems to respond to these disasters. ASPR currently has teams located across the nation that are prepared to deploy within hours to respond to an all-hazards environment. ASPR has positioned medical supplies caches/kits at various locations around the Continental United States, Alaska, Puerto Rico, Hawaii, and Guam. These caches/kits containing medical and surgical supplies must be in a constant state of readiness for immediate use to meet operational requirements. These National Disaster Medical System (NDMS) caches are for Disaster Medical Assistance Teams, Trauma Critical Care Teams, Aeromedical Teams, National Veterinarian Response Teams, Disaster Mortuary Teams, Rapid Deployment Teams, and other Response Teams, are located within Government owned or operated warehouses under agreement with ASPR. This combined synopsis/solicitation is a Request for Proposal (RFP) to provide commercial medical and surgical consumables and other equipment and supplies for purposes of maintaining caches/kits to be supplied in the Continental United States (CONUS) or Outside the Continental United States (OCONUS).
