This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. The solicitation number for this requirement is 75111 and is hereby issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ) using FAR 13.1 Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention intends to award a firm fixed price purchase order for vacuum jacketed hoses to reduce the loss of liquid nitrogen from freezers at the CDC Biorepository. The vendor shall provide 185 vacuum-jacketed transfer hoses for LN2 freezers that meet the following specifications: 6 feet in length (5 feet flexible portion) Braided covering Inner diameter 3/8” Outer diameter 1.5” Pressure rating: minimum 150 psi (pressure tested to 1.1x rating, i.e., 165 psi) Minimum flexible bend radius: 8.0” Pre-evacuated and sealed construction (evacuation to <= 10 microns) ½” SAE 45 female flare fittings (both ends) Provision of a certificate of conformance (or equivalent) Please see attached solicitation and associated clauses in attached document for further details.
