The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) intends to award a sole source firm fixed price purchase order to Qiagen for preventive maintenance services of four existing EZ1 Advanced XL instruments. This contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-l(b)(l). Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit quotes. This notice is not a request for competitive quotations, however, all responses received within six days of the issuance of this notice will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Statement of Work Title: Maintenance Agreement for (4) EZ1 Advanced XL (Mfr: Qiagen) Period of Performance: 04/01/2023 through 03/31/2023 SECTION 1 – BACKGROUND The DPEI/NCEZID/LPRB/BRRAT and QC lab have four EZ1 Advanced XL instruments that require an annual maintenance contract. SECTION 2 – PURPOSE The purpose of this contract is to procure an annual preventive maintenance service contract for four EZ1 Advanced XL instruments that are located in the BRRAT and QC Labs. SECTION 3 – SCOPE OF WORK In addition to the annual service/repair agreement, contractor will provide a pre-agreement inspection/preventive maintenance (PM) service on-site, performed by a service specialist. Service covers all travel and labor costs plus all necessary parts to perform an inspection/PM service. All required testing material and certified equipment is provided by the service specialist. During the inspection/PM procedure, all respective components of the equipment are inspected and tested to ensure instrument is performing according to specifications. The instrument will also be thoroughly checked and inspected to determine if any additional parts and services are required to get the instrument running to its optimal performance. There will be an additional charge for such parts and services if any are needed. Test results are documented in a GMP/GLP-compliant visit report and accessible for the customers. Pro-active notification of the next Inspection/PM due will be organized by contractor. Additional travel charges per visit may apply for our Distributors.
