The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) intends to solicit and negotiate a sole source contract with Tecan U.S., 9401 Globe Center Drive, Suite 140, Morrisville, NC 27560. This notice is provided in accordance with FAR 5.203(a). The contractor shall provide Application Support - Level 2 for the Tecan Freedom EVO 200 instrument. Due to the nature of the work, the CDC believes that Tecan U.S. is the only vendor capable of meeting this requirement. This contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source. The authority permitting other than full and open competition is FAR Subpart 13.5, 41 U.S.C. 1901. The North American Industry Classification System code for this procurement is 423450 – “Medical, Dental, and Hospital Equipment and Supplies”. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals, however, all responses received by the response deadline will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
