The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention intends to award two sole source firm fixed price contract modifications. The first is under contract 75D30122D13474 and the second is under contract 75D30122D14070 both are with GlaxoSmithKline LLC for the purchase of the Priorix vaccine. On June 22, 2022, the Advisory Committee for Immunization Practices (ACIP) approved recommendations related to MMR vaccines. ACIP added GSK’s Priorix vaccine to MMR vaccines that may be routinely recommended to US infants, children, and adults. The Priorix MMR vaccine from GSK is the only vaccine being considered for this request. CDC currently purchases MMR vaccine from US licensed vaccine manufacturer Merck. Priorix offers an additional, yet unique formulation for combating the highly contagious diseases of measles, mumps and rubella that can have profoundly negative impacts on morbidity and mortality. This contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 and 41 U.S.C. 3304(a)(1). Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, all quotations/responses received within fifteen (15) days of the issuance of this notice will be considered by the government. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
