The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) intends to award a sole source firm fixed price purchase order to Aptagen LLC, to develop an aptamer biomarker that is unique to distinguish recent infection from long-term infection that is present in equal quantities and form in both ARV naïve and ARV experienced samples; 2) perform both qualitative and quantitative assessment of the specificity of the select biomarker 3) Customization of the biomarker for the different assay platforms (ELISA, Lateral flow and Multiplex assay). This contract action is for products for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b) (SAP) and 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1). Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. The NAICS code for this acquisition is 541714. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations. Any interested companies are welcome to submit their ability to provide the specified products within three (3) days of the issuance of this notice. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
