The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention intends to award a sole source firm fixed price purchase order to Agilent technologies for the purchase of a 4150 TapeStation System. This specific instrument helps analyze total RNA samples from eukaryotic or prokaryotic origin providing quality, quantity and sizing information. The RNA integrity number equivalent (RINe) delivers an instant and objective evaluation of eukaryotic and prokaryotic total RNA degradation. RNA sizing and quantification in the range 100 to 6000 nt and 100 pg/?L to 500 ng/?L. The tapestation will also be used for the separation and analysis of DNA samples up to 60,000 base pairs. It provides an automated numerical assessment of genomic DNA quality, the DNA integrity number (DIN), and is therefore the ideal QC tool for NGS and array comparative genomic hybridization (aCGH) workflows. This contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b) (SAP) and 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1). Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, all responses received within three days of the issuance of this notice will be reviewed by the government. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
