The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention intends to award a sole source, Firm Fixed Price, contract to EPPENDORF NORTH AMERICA, INC. for an Eppendorf Centrifuge refrigerated 5810R, with Rotor s-4-104 (4x750mL), and FastTemp precoding, ECO shut-off, & adaptors to hold 14-5.0mL or 15 mL Eppendorf Conical tubes, plate bucket adaptor for 96 wll plates, and Adaptor for 7 conical tube 7-50mL. Eppendorf North America, Inc. is the only known vendor with access to these proprietary items. This contract action is for items for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b) (SAP) and 41 U.S.C. 3304(1)(1). Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, all responses received within seven (7) days of the issuance of this notice will be considered by the government. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
