Medicare Part D Coverage Gap Discount Program (CGDP)
This contract establishes the role of a Third Party Administrator (TPA) acting on behalf of CMS for pharmaceutical manufacturer invoicing activities. These activities cover multiple Medicare programs, including the Coverage Gap Discount Program, Manufacturer Discount Program, Inflationary Rebate Program, and Discarded Drug Refund Program, collectively referred to as Medicare Drug Manufacturer Invoicing Activities (MDMIA). The TPA is responsible for developing, testing, implementing, operating, maintaining, and providing customer service for the systems supporting these activities. The work must meet the needs of CMS, pharmaceutical manufacturers, Part D sponsors, and contracted CMS personnel in accordance with specified legislation.
