This contract provides technical assistance to states in the CCBHC Demonstration to ensure payments are economic and efficient under PAMA and the Bipartisan Safer Communities Act, including guidance on the new state plan option, managed care, and cost report review to prevent fraud. It includes logistical support for up to 15 remote TA sessions for 15 Cohort-1 states and assistance with CMS content review of PPS guidance. The logical follow-on extends support for an additional 12 months, during which the contractor will field state questions, engage with CMS, and review submitted cost reports. CMS expects 10 current demonstration states, representing about 55 clinics, to submit cost reports between the end of June 2026 and September 2026, with additional tracking for 10 states added in 2026.
