Blood Bank Plasma Storage Freezers and Blood Bank Refrigerator
The NIH Clinical Center’s Department of Transfusion Medicine/Transfusion Services Laboratory requires two Blood Bank Plasma Storage (-30°C) freezers and one Blood Bank Refrigerator, including delivery, setup, and service plans, to support safe storage of blood products for Clinical Center patients. The Government intends to award a firm-fixed-price purchase order to Helmer, Inc. for two Helmer iBF120-GX 20 cu. ft. plasma storage freezers (one with metal drawers and one with shelves) and one Helmer iBR113-GX 13 cu. ft. blood bank refrigerator. These Helmer units are intended to standardize laboratory equipment and meet regulatory/licensing requirements, with features such as continuous electronic temperature monitoring, temperature-excursion alarms, door-open alarms, and frost-free operation. The notice is not a request for competitive quotations, but responsible sources may submit a capability statement and supporting documentation showing they can meet all technical, regulatory, licensing, delivery, setup, and service requirements. The Government will consider timely responses before proceeding with the intended award.
