No solicitation will be issued, and quotations will not be accepted. The National Institutes of Health (NIH) intends to award a firm-fixed-price sole source contract to: 10X Genomics Inc 6320 Stoneridge Mall Road Pleasanton, California 94588-3260 The NIH Department of Perioperative Medicine seeks to acquire specific reagents exclusively manufactured by 10X Genomics Inc to support critical ongoing laboratory experiments. These reagents are essential for conducting spatial transcriptomic analyses to map RNA sequences within individual cells, particularly within human dorsal root ganglion (DRG) and spinal cord tissues. These experiments are mission-critical to advancing NIH research in the field of pain and gene expression. The reagents requested are compatible only with instruments and platforms developed by 10X Genomics and are required to maintain consistency in data collection for ongoing studies tied to publications and federal research objectives. Therefore, 10X Genomics is the only source capable of meeting the technical and scientific requirements of this acquisition. This procurement is being conducted under FAR Part 13 – Simplified Acquisition Procedures, specifically Subpart 13.106-1(b)(1), which permits sole source awards when only one source is reasonably available. As such, the competition requirements under FAR Part 6 do not apply.
