A solicitation document will not be issued and quotations will not be requested. The National Institute of Health (NIH), Clinical Center (CC), intends to solicit a quote and enter into firm-fixed price to purchase ERBE ARGON PLASMA COAGULATION UNIT, with PROAIM AMERICAS, LLC. Procedure, Vascular Access, Conscious Sedation service provide endoscopic procedures for both clinical and research criteria for patients enrolled in protocols at NIH. Our Head and Neck (H&N) physicians need to view and capture high definition images during patient exams, using Argon plasma coagulation during these exams. EBE ARGON PLASMA uses argon gas during a colonoscopy or an upper endoscopy to control bleeding from certain lesions in the gastrointestinal tract. Argon gas can be used as an alternative to cauterization or using a laser to stop internal bleeding. This acquisition is being conducted using policies unique to the acquisition of commercial items prescribed in FAR Part 12, in conjunction with the policies and procedures for the competition requirements of Part 6. Interested parties may identify their interest and capabilities in response to this posting. The determination by the Government not to compete the proposed requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
