A solicitation document will not be issued and quotations will not be requested. The National Institute of Health (NIH), Clinical Center (CC), intends to solicit a quote and enter into firm-fixed price for Concerto Detachable Coils for Interventional Radiologists for vasculature embolization, with MEDTRONIC USA INC. The Interventional Radiology (IR) Section in the Department of Radiology and Imaging Sciences requires the procurement of Medtronic USA Inc. concerto detachable coils. The coils assist the radiologist with arterial and venous peripheral embolization cases. Medtronic USA Inc. innovative coils are designed to allow the coil implants to move independently of the pusher in a 360-degree fashion, resulting in less energy buildup and microcatheter kick-out and the beveled socket increases flexibility at articulation zones, helping to provide enhanced procedural efficiency. This acquisition is being conducted using policies unique to the acquisition of commercial items prescribed in FAR Part 12, in conjunction with the policies and procedures for the competition requirements of Part 6. Interested parties may identify their interest and capabilities in response to this posting. The determination by the Government not to compete the proposed requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
