A solicitation document will not be issued and quotations will not be requested. The National Institute of Health (NIH), Clinical Center (CC),Critical Care Medicine Department (CCMD) intends to solicit a quote and enter into firm-fixed price for renewal instrument services AB Assurance from Life Technologies. This is a renewal order for a multiyear Services Contract on the Affymetrix System, now part of Life Technologies Corporation. Current contract under PO 75N90021P00519. Affymetrix System, now part of Life Technologies Corporation is the manufacturer of this instrument and it is imperative that it be maintain by them in order to insure reproducibility in our experiments The parts and supplies must be purchased from this vendor. Replacement parts or accessories must be compatible with the existing equipment. Manufacture will not be responsible if instrument or components are repaired or replaced by other companies.. The purpose of this correspondence is to request the purchase of a service contract on the Affymetrix system. This is a patented methodology and instrumentation and only the manufacturer can provide parts to service the instrument. This acquisition is being conducted using policies unique to the acquisition of commercial items prescribed in FAR Part 12, in conjunction with the policies and procedures for the competition requirements of Part 6. Interested parties may identify their interest and capabilities in response to this posting. The determination by the Government not to compete the proposed requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Comments to this announcement, referencing this posting number, may be submitted to the CC, Office of Purchasing and Contracts, prior to the closing date, June 10, 2022 at 12:00 EST specified in this announcement, electronically to the attention of Priscilla Abalos, Contract Specialist, Priscilla.abalos@nih.gov by the due date and time marked in this notice.
