A solicitation document will not be issued and quotations will not be requested. The National Institute of Health (NIH), Clinical Center (CC), (CCMD) i Department of Perioperative Medicine intends to solicit a quote and enter into firm-fixed price Equipment Supplies, with Medtronic, Inc. Medtronic system provides detailed intraoperative nerve condition information to help with surgical strategy and improve patient outcomes. The machine notifies you in real time the nerve condition both visually and audibly. The current supplies that are used for the NIM 3.0 are compatible with the upgraded NIM Vital unit. Due to funding the plan is to replace one machine in 2022 and one machine in 2023 due to funding constraints. The purpose of this correspondence is to request a PO to purchase the replacement of monitoring System. .Due to the supplies being forward and backward compatible the units are able to be replaced back to back versus together. The new unit increases operative efficiency and precision and reduces the risk of intraoperative nerve damage. This acquisition is being conducted using policies unique to the acquisition of commercial items prescribed in FAR Part 12, in conjunction with the policies and procedures for the competition requirements of Part 6. Interested parties may identify their interest and capabilities in response to this posting. The determination by the Government not to compete the proposed requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
