The National Institute of Health (NIH), Clinical Center (CC),Critical Care Medicine Department (CCMD) intends to solicit a quote and enter into firm-fixed price Service evaluation of virus Samples services with Texcell Incorporated. Texcell was the source of the virus MHV-1 stock a mouse coronavirus, used in our studies and evaluated the level of MHV-1 is Treated Mouse Lung and Liver samples from protocol MHV-1 19-V5 It’s imperative that the new determinations are done using the exact same methodology by the same source for comparison, otherwise additional testing, experiments and resources will be need. The purpose of this correspondence is to request a PO to request a purchase order for evaluation of the level of MHV-1 in lung and liver samples from animals under PRD #7859. The service will include completion of Virus Recovery & Preliminary Testing, detection of MHV-1 on the provided samples and report..The purpose of this study is to Evaluate effects of oxygen on the immune response and evaluate the impact of differing oxygen levels on MHV-1 as well as viral burden in the tissue. This acquisition is being conducted using policies unique to the acquisition of commercial items prescribed in FAR Part 12, in conjunction with the policies and procedures for the competition requirements of Part 6. Interested parties may identify their interest and capabilities in response to this posting. The determination by the Government not to compete the proposed requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
