A solicitation document will not be issued and quotations will not be requested.. The National Institute of Health (NIH), Clinical Center (CC),Department of Laboratory Medicine (DLM intends to solicit a quote and enter into firm-fixed price for BacT Instrument service maintenance. BioMerieux, in accordance with the written contract, will include all telephone support, all parts, and recommended preventative maintenance (see above). Labor time, travel time, and expenses are covered during normal business hours only. Plan includes remote telediagnostics for troubleshooting instrumentation with modem access. BUS. HRS. COVERAGE is 7:00AM-5:00PM, Monday-Friday. The purpose of this correspondence is to request a PO to is to ensure that the BacTAlert_DualT instrument continues to perform at their highest level to maintain quality patient care. If the instrument is allowed to function without regular maintenance, the system will fail leading to unanticipated expensive repairs and prolonged down time that will negatively impact patient care. We anticipate that a base plus 4 option year preventative maintenance and service for the BacTAlert_DualT instrument. This acquisition is being conducted using policies unique to the acquisition of commercial items prescribed in FAR Part 12, in conjunction with the policies and procedures for the competition requirements of Part 6. Interested parties may identify their interest and capabilities in response to this posting. The determination by the Government not to compete the proposed requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
