A solicitation document will not be issued and quotations will not be requested. The National Institute of Health (NIH), Clinical Center (CC),Department of the Laboratory Medicine DLM) intends to solicit a quote and enter into firm-fixed price Reagent Supplies, with Mira Vista Diagnostics. The Microbiology Service within the DLM requests to secure funds in support of fungal serological testing from clinical patient samples. This testing is not currently offered by the Microbiology Service due to the complexity of testing, so test requests are outsourced to an outside vendor for performance The purpose of this correspondence is to request a PO to purchase Testing Fungal support services at the NIH Clinical Center which consists of a large immunocompromised population which are at high risk of invasive fungal infections. Screening these patients with fungal serological testing methods offered at MiraVista Diagnostics can help guide clinical management and monitor patient progress. This acquisition is being conducted using policies unique to the acquisition of commercial items prescribed in FAR Part 12, in conjunction with the policies and procedures for the competition requirements of Part 6. Interested parties may identify their interest and capabilities in response to this posting. The determination by the Government not to compete the proposed requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
