A solicitation document will not be issued and quotations will not be requested. The National Institute of Health (NIH), Clinical Center (CC),Department of Laboratory Medicine (DLM) intends to solicit a quote and enter into firm-fixed price Reagent Supplies, with Qiagen Inc.., Qiagen Inc has been responsive to our troubleshooting calls and effective in diagnosing any encountered issues. Additionally, these instruments and their associated reagents and supplies are proprietary to and distributed only by QIAGEN. As such, no other entity is capable of providing the Government with the requested items. Establishment of the requested purchase agreement would allow for the continued uninterrupted provision of critical patient test results by the DLM. This acquisition is being conducted using policies unique to the acquisition of commercial items prescribed in FAR Part 12, in conjunction with the policies and procedures for the competition requirements of Part 6. Interested parties may identify their interest and capabilities in response to this posting. The determination by the Government not to compete the proposed requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
