A solicitation document will not be issued and quotations will not be requested.. The National Institute of Health (NIH), Clinical Center (CC),Critical Care Medicine Department (CCMD) intends to solicit a quote and enter into firm-fixed price Reagent Supplies, with 10X Genomics. 10X genomics is compatible to the instrument currently in used, CCMD need to purchase various compatible Chromium reagents as listed in the quote. As a very new technology, this vendor is the sole source for these reagents used in the Chromium Controller instrument from the same vendor. It’s imperative to keep consistency on the materials source to avoid additional testing that will increase cost and produce variability and delay. The purpose of this correspondence is to request a PO to purchase molecular reagents for our research project on determining immune mechanisms in controlling responses to Pneumocystis infection, a major complication in AIDS and other immunocompromised patients. This acquisition is being conducted using policies unique to the acquisition of commercial items prescribed in FAR Part 12, in conjunction with the policies and procedures for the competition requirements of Part 6. Interested parties may identify their interest and capabilities in response to this posting. The determination by the Government not to compete the proposed requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
