A solicitation document will not be issued and quotations will not be requested. The National Institute of Health, Clinical Center (CC) intends to award a Firm-Fixed price purchase order to Diasorin, Inc. (Large Business) Stillwater, MN 55082-7536 on a sole source basis to procure various commodities used in Vitamin D, Aldosterone, HSV and Renin testing at the Department of Laboratory Medicine. Diasorin, Inc, is the only known vendor that can manufacture the reagents and commodities as they will be used with the existing Liaison XL System for immunoassay testing. The Liaison XL System is an existing testing platform currently used in the Department of Laboratory Medicine for patient care testing and research protocols. This acquisition is being conducted using policies unique to simplified acquisition procedures at 13.106(b)(1) for sole source acquisitions. The intended procurement shall not exceed the Simplified Acquisition Threshold at $250,000.00. Interested parties may identify their interest and capabilities in response to this posting. The determination by the Government not to compete the proposed requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
