A solicitation document will not be issued and quotations will not be requested. The National Institute of Health (NIH), Clinical Center (CC), Department of Laboratory Medicine intends to solicit a quote and enter into firm-fixed price for Reagents Testing Supplies, with Fisher Scientific Technologies, a division of Thermo fisher Scientific; This reagents testing supplies is needed for studies sequencing identification of microbes cultured from sterility testing of cell therapy products and/or environmental monitoring. Due to regulatory requirements and rigorous validation testing performed in lab, these reagents are the only ones that can meet the needs of the testing that we conduct in the Sterility Testing Service, DLM, CC, NIH. Fisher Scientific is the sole proprietor of the Reagents. There is no other known company that can provide the breadth and depth of knowledge of the unique testing supplies global customer feedback.. The NIH intends to award a one (1) year plus 4 option year fixed price purchase order to Fisher Scientific This acquisition is being conducted using policies unique to the acquisition of commercial items prescribed in FAR Part 12, in conjunction with the policies and procedures for the competition requirements of Part 6. Interested parties may identify their interest and capabilities in response to this posting. The determination by the Government not to compete the proposed requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
