TITLE: Scale Model Radio Control Mining Equipment Background: This is a SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE to determine the availability and capabilities of potential vendors to provide scale model mining equipment as noted below, that is compliant with the Buy American Statute (BA) and Trade Agreements Act (TAA). History: These services have not previously been provided for the National Institute for Occupational Safety & Health (NIOSH), Spokane Mining Research Division (SMRD). The NAICS code is 423920: Toy and Hobby Goods and Supplies Merchant Wholesalers with a Size Standard of 175 employees. CDC/NIOSH has a need for radio-controlled 1/14th scale model mining equipment, as detailed below. It is the intent for these radio-controlled mining vehicles to be modified to be used in machine situational awareness, collision avoidance, and autonomous mining vehicle safety research.
