This Notice of Intent to award a sole source firm fixed price purchase order is provided by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Office of Acquisition Services (OAS) on behalf of the National Institute for Occupational Safety & Health (NIOSH), Pittsburgh Mining Research Division (PMRD). PMRD has a requirement for an Aerosol Particle Sizer. The instrument will be used in combination with aerosol chambers in several projects associated with respirable dust. Specifically, projects associated with the development of the rapid quartz analysis, the evaluation of low-cost dust sensors, the development of the new generation of the CPDM. The intended recipient of this purchase order is: TSI, Inc. located at 500 Cardigan Road, Shoreview, Minnesota. This order is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b). Interested persons may identify their interest and capability by responding to this notice. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, all quotations/responses received by May 24, 2023 by 11:00AM EST will be considered by the government. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed purchase order based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
