This Notice of Intent to award a sole source firm fixed price purchase order is provided by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Office of Acquisition Services (OAS) on behalf of National Centers for Immunization and Respiratory Diseases Lab Task Force: Strain Surveillance and Emerging Variants Team. NCIRD has a requirement for Expression and purification of sixteen (16) SARS-CoV-2 or ACE2 proteins, with a minimum yield of 1mg per protein, the determination of ten (10) structures of Spike-ACE2 complexes utilizing cryo-EM methodologies, and eighteen (18) negative stain EM images of inactivated SARS-CoV-2 virions.The intended recipient of this order is Emory University School of Medicine, Department of Biochemistry, RM G247, Rollins Research Ctr., 1510 Clifton Rd. NE, Atlanta, GA 30322, USA. This contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b) and 41 U.S.C. 3304(a) (1). Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
