This Notice of Intent to award a sole source firm fixed price purchase order is provided by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Office of Acquisition Services (OAS) . CDC has a requirement for SparQ Library Prep Kits: VWR Cat# MISC MISC-LIFESCI is an optimized kit for the rapid construction of DNA libraries from fragmented double-stranded DNA for sequencing. This specific kit contains components for library preparation of DNA prior to whole genome sequencing that have been evaluated for specific workflow specification and product output. The kit, maximizes library yields and increases sequenceable molecules, minimizes bias and gaps in sample genome coverage, and most importantly creates amplified libraries with PCR-free results. DNA library kits are available from multiple vendors but this specific kit has been validated and verified to provide us with the best product output and of high quality for downstream sequencing applications. This contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b) and 41 U.S.C. 3304(a) (1). Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
