The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) National Center for Environmental Health(NCEH) Division of Laboratory Sciences (DLS) intends to award a sole source requirement, firm-fixed price purchase order for the DEMI 430 is the only support removal station that combines ultrasonics, controlled jet flows to reduce part to part surface contact, heat ramp programming, and batch/material specific programs that can be stored and recalled for batch-tobatch processing. These custom user programs contain all of the aforementioned settings that we can optimize and reuse for the unique support removal requirements of our parts/models. The DEMI 430 is also the only support removal station in this size (20 ±2 gallon) that combines the previously mentioned features with online detergent filtration, a critical feature we have identified based on our years of experience with other support removal makes and models. Finally, the DEM 430 has been developed to provide full support removal from both FDM and polyjet parts with the same detergent solution. Importantly, there is no need to change detergents between part types which saves considerable time and reduces waste. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1 (b) and 41 U.S.C. 3304(a)(1). This notice of intent is NOT a request for competitive quotations. An official solicitation will be posted at a future date. However, firms that believe they can meet the requirement are welcome to identify themselves and provide a substantive statement with descriptive literature and any other supporting information within ten (10) days of issuance of this notice to be considered by the government. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed purchase order based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Any responses or questions should be emailed to the contract specialist at mpr3@cdc.gov with an email Subject line: DEMI 430 PR 76042. PLEASE NOTE, IF YOUR EMAIL DOES NOT HAVE THE PROPER SUBJECT LINE, THERE IS RISK OF YOUR EMAIL/RESPONSE NOT BEING RECEIVED.
