The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention intends to award a sole source firm fixed price contract to World Courier Inc, 1313 4th Avenue, New Hyde Park, New York 11040 for shipping environmental samples collected for polio surveillance in Haiti to Atlanta to maintain a temperature of -20 Celsius during the entire shipping time. This contract action is for shipping services under NAICS code 492110 (Couriers & Express Delivery Services) for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. The anticipated period of performance for this contract action will be from 9/24/2023 – 9/23/2028. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency. All quotations/responses received by the deadline specified in this notice, in accordance with FAR 5.203, will be considered by the government. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
