The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention intends to award a sole source firm fixed price purchase order to AB SCIEX LLC for SCIEX 7500. This system is equiped with the OptiFlow Pro Source which contains E Lens Technology, improving the transfer ofions into the mass speetrometer and the interchange from high flow to low flow. SCIEX is the manufacturer and solesource of this product. The statutory authority for this sole source acquisition is 41 U.S.C 3304(a)(1) in accordance with FAR Part 6.302-1- only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy the agency requirement. The NAICS code for this procurement is 334516 - Analytical Laboratory Instrument Manufacturing. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, all quotations/responses received within seven days of the issuance of this notice will be considered by the government. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
