The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) National Center of Influenza Research Division, intends to negotiate a sole source firm-fixed price purchase order contract with University of Georgia’s Research Foundaition, Inc. under authority of Federal Acquisition Regulations Subpart 6.302-1, Other Than Full and Open Competition procedures and FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures for the acquisition of one (1) year access to SER-CAT beamline for remote access data collection at the Advanced Photon Source (APS). Advanced Photon Source (APS) currently offers the brightest beam and the most advanced technology for macromolecular crystallography in USA. APS is the only facility where CDC has a current user agreement in place to allow our staff access to APS for data collection. This contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b) and 41 U.S.C. 3304(a)(1). Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, all quotations/responses received within five (5) calendar days of the issuance of this notice will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
