NOTICE OF INTENT TO ISSUE A PURCHASE ORDER. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention intends to award a sole source firm fixed price purchase order to MS Bioworks, LLC 3950 Varsity Drive, Ann Arbor, MI 48108 to conduct proteomic analyses on murine lung tissues from genetically modified mice following exposure to either A. versicolor or S. chartarum.. Proteomic profiling conducted by MS Bioworks would allow for reproducible and direct comparisons to previously collected datasets examining exposure to the same fungal species for the same duration, only without the use of genetically modified mice. The government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b) and 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1). Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals by forwarding information to the contracting officer. Submission of a proposal would require the offeror to have Proteomic profiling. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, all quotations/responses received from the issuance of this notice will be considered by the government. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Any quotation/response should be emailed to Dwight Favors, Contract Specialist at dyf3@cdc.gov by April 25, 2022, 1 PM EST. If no affirmative responses are received on or before the date stated, in accordance with FAR 13.106-1(b)(1), negotiations will be conducted with MS Bioworks, LLC 3950 Varsity Drive, Ann Arbor, MI 48108, as the only source and a purchase order will be issued without any additional notices being posted.
