The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Office of Acquisitions, intend to award a firm fixed price purchase order in accordance with FAR Part 13.106-1(b)(1), to SPT Labtech Limited Melbourn Science Park, Cambridge Road, Melbourn, Royston, Hartfordshire, England. This is a preventative maintenance/service agreement for new equipment that has come to the end of its warranty. This equipment is critical to carry out tickborne disease diagnostic laboratory processes for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.103-1(b).". It automates laboratory procedures to significantly reduce time for multiple procedures as well as reduces errors associated with high-throughput testing. To ensure the Dragonfly Discovery instrument by SPT LabTech Ltd. is consistently running to manufacturer specifications and prevent negatively impacting the scientific data obtained from it, which would compromise the integrity and continuity of our ongoing research., CDC requires a service agreement. This service agreement covers OEM level telephone and remote access support, and onsite application software and hardware upgrades, onsite annual preventative maintenance, and onsite repair and refurbishment. Studies performed with these scientific instruments require they be maintained to the original manufacturer’s specifications to prevent negatively impacting the scientific data obtained from them, which would compromise the integrity and continuity of the CDC's ongoing research. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, all quotations/responses/capability statements received at srehan@cdc.gov by April 14, 2022 at 2PM local time will be considered by the government. This synopsis ends in 3 days in accordance with FAR 5.203 (a)(1). Please include reference number (2022-63242) and respond by April 14, 2022 at 2 PM EST. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement is solely within the discretion of the Government.
