The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Center for Surveillance, Epidemiology, and Laboratory Services (CSELS) in Atlanta, Georgia, intends to negotiate a sole source firm-fixed price purchase order contract with Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) under authority of Federal Acquisition Regulations Subpart 6.302-1, Other Than Full and Open Competition procedures and FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures for the acquisition of the annual Joint Accreditation. This accreditation will enable the CDC to be simultaneously accredited to provide medical, nursing, pharmacy, and optometry continuing education through a single, unified application process, fee structure and set of accreditation standards. Only ACPE can provide this joint accreditation. This contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b) and 41 U.S.C. 3304(a)(1). Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, all quotations/responses received within fourteen (14) calendar days of the issuance of this notice will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
