The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) 1600 Clifton Road NE, Atlanta Georgia, intends to award a sole source, firm fixed price contract to Swift / Integrated DNA Technologies., to support the SARS-CoV-2 variant surveillance. An urgent need has arose for immediate implementation of next generation sequencing surveillance across the United States. One part of the entire surveillance is a program where all 50 states plus all territories send 1500 samples every 2 weeks to CDC for next generation sequencing. GSL in BCFB has developed a pipeline for this variant surveillance of SARS-CoV-2 positive samples. Part of the pipeline is the utilization of the Swift BioSciences / Integrated DNA Technologies' custom reagents for SARS-CoV-2.
