The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s National Center for Emerging and Zoonotic Infectious Diseases intends to award a sole source firm-fixed price purchase order to SPT Labtech Ltd. for Mosquito HV Genomics Instrument and consumables, Spool of 13500 Gamma Ray Sterilised Pipettes 9mm Pitch HV (Part#4150-03032), 384 PCR Plate Magnetic Bead Clean-up Block (Part# 3268-02008), and 384-Well LVSD plate, non-sterile polyprop (Part# 4150-05828). This is critical to the mission of the GSL which includes providing support to the preparedness and response goals of the CDC. This exact instrument replacement and consumable parts are needed to align with another lab’s existing protocols, as well as, it is the only instrument validated to perform as required for the purpose needed at this time. This contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b) and 41 U.S.C. 3304(a)(1). Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
