The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, National Center for Health Statistics (NCHS), intends to award a sole source firm fixed price purchase order to the University of Maryland Joint Program in Survey Methodology (JPSM), College Park, Maryland, to provide a JPSM intern to assist with the conduct of analysis and evaluation projects for both internal NCHS and non-NCHS surveys. The intern will assist with a number of DRM projects, as needed, and she or he will be primarily involved with the analysis of the DRM Research and Development Survey (RANDS). he RANDS is DRM’s research platform for data collection using commercial recruited panels, with surveys administered using both internet and telephone modes. RANDS is used for addressing a range of scientific questions in the division, including question-response evaluation and statistical methods for integration of data from commercial recruited panels with NCHS data. The NAICS code for this action is 611310 and the small business size is $30.0 M. This contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b) (SAP) and FAR Part 12, Commercial Items. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, all quotations/responses received within seven (7) days of the issuance of this notice will be considered by the government. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
