The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health Department intends to award a sole source firm-fixed price purchase order to TSI Inc., for The TSI Model 3082. The TSI Model 3082 is the only instrument available in the marketplace that includes all the following required specifications: 1) Model 3082 can complete fast, continuous scans (<10 seconds) with no gaps in the data., 2) Model 3082 has built-in existing TSI 3789 Water-CPC compatibility, 3) Model 3082 allows for the lowest detectable limit of particle sizes. Utilizing the nano DMA, it can measure down to 2.0 nm, 4) Model 3082 has an adjustable sheath (2-30 LPM) and sample (0.2-5 LPM) flow to allow for the greatest variety in size capabilities and measurement resolution. There are no other vendors that provide such specialized features above and is required for complete fast, continuous scans (<10 seconds) to measure airborne particle size distributions. This contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b) and 41 U.S.C. 3304(a)(1). Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, all quotations/responses received within ten (10) days of the issuance of this notice will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
