Malvern PANalytical is the original manufacturer and the only provider of upgrade parts and installation services for the existing Empyrean XRD system to meets all the requirements for conducting microanalysis of airborne mineral particle samples. The microbeam module and optics upgrade for the PANalytical Empyrean X-ray Diffractometer (XRD) system is being procured to meet the need for microanalysis of airborne mineral particles in workplace atmospheres. The procured microbeam module for the XRD system must have: 1) Fully compatible with the existing PANalytical Empyrean XRD hardware with modular beam optics and auto alignment features to allow easy operation by users with varying levels of experience 2) Microbeam focusing and masks for microanalysis by using the existing PIXel 3D detector. 3) Compatible with the existing software package(s) for instrument control, user. ?This is not a request for competitive quotations .Any quotation/response should be emailed to contract specialist at MSo9@cdc.gov by COB 09 Aug 2021
