The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention intends to award a sole source firm fixed price purchase order to UConn Health grants office, 263 Farmington Ave, Farmington, CT 06030 .The NIOSH Center for Productive Aging and Work is developing an e-tool, called iAGE, that can be used to design age-friendly workplaces in the manufacturing sector, focusing on improving musculoskeletal health. iAGE stands for interactive Age-Friendly Guidance and Evaluation and will provide a method for assessing a manufacturing workplace in terms of specific action checkpoints (e.g., organizational practices, programs, or policies) considered to be age-friendly. This effort requires NIOSH researchers to obtain input from multiple sources in manufacturing, including: from a dataset that contains health and performance data for approximately 1,000 manufacturing workers, from focus groups and interviews conducted with managers and workers in manufacturing, and from a review of previous research and guidance material on this topic in manufacturing, occupational health, aging, and human resources. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, all quotations/responses received within ten (10) days of the issuance of this notice will be considered by the government. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
