The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDCP), National Institute for Occupational Safety & Health (NIOSH), National Personal Protective Technology Laboratory (NPPTL), Morgantown, WV intends to award a sole source firm fixed price purchase order to: Thermo Electron North America, LLC, 1400 Northpoint Parkway, West Palm Beach, FL 33407 for: an OEM/Factory Reconditioned / Thermo Scientific TSQ Quantiva Triple Stage Quadrupole MS/MS System containing: EXRTSQ-5002-Refurbished TSQ QUANTIVA; TSQ Preinstallation Kit Option-30099 and 2 Days of LSMS on-site support 702-022402. To be Attached and Incorporated into NPPTL’s Thermo Scientific Vanquish UHPLC System (CDC # - 232813). Thermo Electron North America, LLC is the OEM of Thermo’s Mass Spectrometer, this is the only MS that will be compatible to connect into the existing TS Vanquish UHPLC System and incorporate with the existing Operating System, to alllow comparisons with previous data records and test results. This contract action is for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b) (SAP) and 41 U.S.C. 3304(a)(1). Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, all quotations/responses received within seven (7) days of the issuance of this notice will be considered by the government. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
