The Centers for Disease Control and Preven... The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention intends to award a sole source firm fixed price purchase order to Medical Marketing Services, Inc. (MMS Inc.). The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), National Center for Health Statistics (NCHS), conducts the National Ambulatory Medical Care Survey (NAMCS), which collects information on office visits to a sample of non-federal, office-based physicians through an annual survey, and the National Electronic Health Records Survey (NEHRS), a mixed-mode (i.e., web, mail, and telephone) survey of the use of electronic health records by non-federal, office-based physicians. Each year, an updated version of the American Medical Association’s (AMA) Masterfile, representing a complete listing of U.S. physicians, is purchased by NCHS for use with these surveys. As in previous years, NCHS’s requirement for the Masterfile is not only a provision of all the names and addresses for U.S. physicians, but selected characteristics and physician demographics to help NCHS draw samples for both the NAMCS and NEHRS surveys. This contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b) (SAP) and 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1). Interested parties may identify their interest and submit documentation of their capability to respond to the requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, all responses received within seven (7) days of the issuance of this notice will be considered by the government. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
