This Notice of Intent to award a sole source firm fixed price purchase order is provided by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Office of Acquisition Services (OAS) on behalf of NIOSH/OMSHR/DMRO – Ground Control Branch 626 Cochrans Mill Road Bldg 156 Room 203 Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Pittsburgh, PA 15236 (GCB) GCB has a requirement of FLAC3D a proprietary software provided by the Itasca Consulting Group, Inc. that is used extensively by the PMRD Ground Control Branch for stability analysis in all aspects of mining. Research using this numerical modeling software results in significant impact on the health and safety of the nation’s mine workers. The intended recipient of this purchase order is ITASCA CONSULTING GROUP INC 111 3RD AVE S STE 450 MINNEAPOLIS , MN 55401-2546. This order is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1 (b) and 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1). Interested persons may identify their interest and capability by responding to this notice and/or submitting proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive responses; however, all proposals received within 7 days of the issuance of this notice will be considered by the government. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed order based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
