This Notice of Intent to award a sole source firm fixed price purchase order is provided by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Office of Acquisition Services (OAS) on behalf of Public Health Data Standards, Office of the Director National Center for Health Statistics Centers for Disease Control and Prevention 3311 Toledo Rd.,Hyattsville, MD 20782(PHDSODNCHS).PHDSODNCHS has a requirement of service contract that will create and maintain and official machine readable electronic distribution format for ICD-10-CM, in support of the National Library of Medicine’s (NLM) Unified Medical Language System (UMLS) Metathesaurus, the National Health Information Network (NHIN), and Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems, apply state-of-the-art electronic methods and tools to ICD-10-CM format production, based on open standards and open systems, explicitly including the Apelon DTS, supporting this in concert with the current business processes and editing capabilities using Folio, and provide training and consultation to NCHS staff related to these capabilities and formats. The intended recipient of this purchase order is Apelon Inc., 750 Main Street, Suite 1500, Hartford, CT 06103. This order is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1 (b) and 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1). Interested persons may identify their interest and capability by responding to this notice and/or submitting proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive responses; however, all proposals received within 7 days of the issuance of this notice will be considered by the government. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed order based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
