This is not a solicitation for proposals, proposal abstracts, or quotations. The purpose of this notice is to obtain information regarding the availability and capability of qualified sources to perform a potential contract requirement. Purpose and Objectives: The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is seeking companies capable of supplying syphilis samples for Treponema pallidum. The contractor will be required to collect lesion swab and serum samples in a clinical setting, test the samples using darkfield microscopy, properly store samples, and ship samples to the CDC. All patients will be required to provide consent and the study will be conducted in accordance with all applicable laws and proper review board approvals. A two-year period of performance is contemplated. Capability Statement/Information Sought: Interested companies are requested to submit a capability statement, which shall include documentation of the ability to perform the requirements and information on previous successfully completed contracts for the same supplies. The respondent must also provide their DUNS number, organization name, address, points of contact, and size and type of business (e.g., 8(a), HubZone, etc., pursuant to the applicable NAICS code), and any other information that may be helpful in developing or finalizing the acquisition requirements. Please limit your responses to ten (10) pages. All responses to this notice must be submitted electronically. Facsimile responses will not be accepted.
