This procurement is for the continuation of Mutation Analysis Testing for the National Institutes of Health, Department of Laboratory Medicine in accordance with FAR 13.5 Test Program for Certain Commercial Items specifically FAR 13.501 Special Documentation Requirements, where acquisitions conducted under Simplified Acquisition Procedures are exempt from the requirements of FAR 6, but still require a justification using the format of FAR 6.303-2. This requirement is urgent and compelling due to a need to finalize the statement of work and validate any new testing required through re-completion. The final assessment was not completed due to the impact of COVID-19. The current contract 75N900019D00014 is due to expire. A short-term bridge contract needs to be provided by GeneDx, Inc. Gaithersburg, MD 20877-2142 the incumbent contractor to ensure the continuity of services for research and patient care. The JOFOC document is attached.
